High-tech applications for spectacles

Frey & Winkler has been a market leader in the ophthalmic components industry for decades.
From traditional nose pads, pad arms and temple tips through to complete sidepiece combinations, our name has long stood for innovative and often ground-breaking technical solutions. Our integrated approach to metal processing and plastics technology allows us to think and develop
in terms of comprehensive solutions that cover all materials. As a result, we are able to achieve technical innovations and new advances in form and aesthetics that have repeatedly provided
our well-known international customers with a competitive edge.

Pads

Our product portfolio includes soft silicone and semi-soft Esprit (PVC) pads and pads made of hard polycarbonate, acrylic glass and titanium to suit all standard fitting methods such as the ‘click’, ‘screw’ and ‘Japan screw’ systems and our own patented ‘Primadonna’ system.
We are continually expanding our range to add new sizes and designs.

To highlight your name, we can ‘brand’ your pads on request with your logo or slogan. Even extremely fine patterns or lettering can be added to the pads in up to
four colours. We would be delighted to show you some samples.

Pad arms

We supply a wide selection of pad arms for the traditional ‘click’, ‘screw’ (or Cabrio) fastening systems and for our own patented Primadonna system. They are available in different materials such as nickel silver, Monel, titanium and stainless steel as well as nickel-free and with a range of curvatures.

The silicone pads we use in our sporting System 3 design are simply tied in. These pad arms are also available in a variety of materials.
