At the beginning of November 2021, the new cooling system from ONI Wärmetrafo GmbH was fully put into operation. Over the summer months, Frey & Winkler renewed its entire cooling system, which supplies the injection moulding machines with the required cooling capacity. With the help of a rental refrigeration system from ONI, the conversion could take place during ongoing operation, which meant that there was no loss of production. The new highly efficient cooling and pumping system guarantees a reliable supply for the entire injection moulding production. Thanks to the intelligent use of the waste heat produced by the cooling system, the new 300 square metre clean room area can be tempered in the future and approx. 330 tonnes of CO2 emissions can be saved annually.
