After an extensive and detailed planning phase, in which a team of German and Romanian F&W experts participated, a fully automated thermoplastic plant for the production of nose pads inserts could be put into operation at the F&W plant in Timisoara (RO). This was a further signal for the strengthening of this location and the successful cross-location cooperation. The German team wishes the Romanian team much success and is available for support and assistance at any time.
The platform connects not only suppliers from the medical technology sector along with manufacturing and marketing companies of medical products, but also start-ups and founders of the industry. On July 6 and 7, 2021, participants will have the opportunity for the first time to make new international contacts, foster existing networks, and obtain information and exchange ideas on current topics.

We are very sorry not to be able to welcome you as a customer live at the MIDO, but unfortunately this is not yet possible due to corona. We are all the more pleased that the MIDO provides a digital platform through which we can meet in new ways.
The next face-to-face edition of MIDO is planned for 12-14 February 2022 at the Rho Fiera exhibition centre.
Our current project planning activities concerning a new cleanroom will lead to an expansion of the existing cleanroom capacities at our location in Königsbach-Stein. Using state-of-the-art cleanroom technology on an area of approx. 260 m², we will be able to meet also in future sector-specific quality requirements that continue to increase. By directly connecting the machines to or in the cleanroom, Frey & Winkler offers the best conditions for producing precise silicone components under cleanroom conditions, both on vertical and horizontal injection molding machines, and then packaging them directly. If requested by the customer, the completion of individual components into assemblies will also be possible under cleanroom conditions. The launch of operations at the new facilities is scheduled for the third quarter of 2021.
In the context of expanding cleanroom capacities at the Königsbach-Stein site, Frey & Winkler has also been modernising the cooling system technology, which supplies appropriate cooling not only to the cleanrooms, but also to the production facilities on the shopfloor. In future, this state-of-the-art system will adapt to the respective utilization degree of production, guaranteeing a reliable and energy-saving supply at all times. By using a heat recovery system, the energy can additionally be used for heating premises. The modernization will save approx. 330 tons of CO² emissions per year, which means that Frey & Winkler actively contributes to environmental protection.
Frey & Winkler realises its new internet presence with flowbridge, management consultancy and advertising agency. After the positioning workshop and the approved content and structure concept, it was time for the implementation. On the new website, Frey & Winkler provides extensive insights into manufacturing technologies and innovative products. The structure is very user-friendly and presents the range of services in a highly transparent way.
