This classic system is well-tried and is still the most widely used. Some frame manufacturers prefer the screw system for aesthetic reasons. F&W screw-type pad arms have more threads (0.65 mm instead of 0.51 mm), therefore holding the screw better in place.
No matter whether round, oval, drop-shape or trapezium-shape; made of silicone or PVC or metal; with or without air cushion - F&W not only offers nose pads, but also matching pad arms.
